తొలుత సెప్టెంబర్ 15 నుంచి ఐపీఎల్ సీజన్ 14 మిగతా మ్యాచ్లను నిర్వహించాలని బీసీసఐ, ఐపీఎల్ పెద్దలు భావించారు. కానీ ఆ సమయానికి ఇంగ్లాండ్తో టెస్టు సిరీస్ షెడ్యూల్ పూర్తికాదన్న కారణంగా మూడో వారంలో ఐపీఎల్ 2021 మిగతా సీజన్ ప్రారంభించేందుకు బీసీసీఐ సిద్ధంగా ఉందని ఓ అధికారి వెల్లడించారు.
