ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಹಪಾಠಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. 1977 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆವು. ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಸ್ವಭಾವದ ಸರಳ-ಸಜ್ಜನ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಎಂದು ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
