Adani group to take over operations of these airports, says AAI; check details

The Adani group would be taking over the operations, management and development of the airports at Mangaluru, Lucknow and Ahmedabad from the AAI. Moreover, the AAI said in its release that the Aviation Ministry has signed MoUs (memorandums of understanding) with three entities of the Adani group to provide services. The central government privatised six major airports in February 2019.

Union Cabinet may approve privatisation of 6 airports in next meeting

While Varanasi, Amritsar, Indore, Bhubaneswar and Trichy airports operate international flights, Raipur currently handles only domestic flight operations. According to sources, the government wants to approve privatisation of six airports before August 15. The bidding process will begin after approval from the Cabinet.
