After Sania Mirza, Rohan Bopanna lashes out at Leander Paes for 'slanging fellow players'
In June earlier this year, Bopanna had written a letter to AITA asking the federation to pair him with Saketh Myneni (World No. 125) and not Leander Paes (World No. 46) for Rio Olympics 2016.

New Delhi: Soon after Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza slammed compatriot Leander Paes, another player Rohan Bopanna too expressed his disappointment over the veteran hitting out at his fellow countrymen.
Paes, who was knocked out in the first round of Rio Olympics men's doubles event along with Bopanna, had earlier slammed All India Tennis Association (AITA) for not sending the best team for mixed doubles in last two Olympics.
At the press conference, Paes said, "I can very clearly say that in this Olympics and last Olympics we didn't put the best team forward. This Olympics the mixed doubles was a great opportunity. What more does a man need to do than win four Grand Slams in 14 months? There were no more tournaments to win, I could not create anymore tournaments. Sad."
Following his remarks, Sania took to Twitter and labelled him as a 'toxic' person. Even though she did not mention the name of the veteran tennis player, it was evident that it was aimed at him.
The ONLY way to win with a toxic person, is not to play!!! #karmaiswatching #zenmode

Bopanna was one of the hundreds of others who retweeted Sania's tweet.
He later posted a tweet himself which was aimed at Paes' remarks against his fellow players.
At it again!! ...the usual ploy to stay in the news by slanging fellow players in media. #Patriotism — Rohan Bopanna (@rohanbopanna) September 18, 2016
In June earlier this year, Bopanna had written a letter to AITA asking the federation to pair him with Saketh Myneni (World No. 125) and not Leander Paes (World No. 46) for Rio Olympics 2016.
Bopanna, being the World No. 10 in men's doubles then, had earned a direct entry to the biggest sporting extravaganza.
Despite Bopanna's preference, AITA chose Paes as Bopanna's doubles partner in Rio.
The pair's campaign came to an early end where they suffered a 4-6, 6-7 defeat against the Polish pairing of Lukasz Kubot and Marcin Matkowski in first round.
