Hold talks with PCB in Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee tells BCCI

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday offered BCCI to hold meeting with Pakistani cricket officials after Shiv Sainiks stormed the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.

Protesting against the resumption of cricketing ties with Pakistan, a group of Shiv Sena activists stormed the Indian cricket board office in Mumbai stalling talks between Board of Control for Cricket in India president Shashank Manohar and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan.

The two were to discuss the fate of the bilateral series between India and Pakistan in December

"Hearing about incidents related to disruption of BCCI work in Mumbai. Cricket Board welcome to meet in Kolkata," the chief minister Tweeted.

Banerjee, also the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo, had earlier offered Kolkata as venue for the concert of Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali after the scheduled concerts in Mumbai and Pune were cancelled following Sena's strong opposition.
