Anger

New study confirms that anger can trigger a heart attack. Negative emotions such as, anger and hostility increase your blood pressure, raise vascular reactivity and raise the likelihood of blood clots. Learning to control anger, along with physical activity can help reduce your heart disease risk as it decreases blood pressure increasing the level of good cholesterol.

Depression

A number of research studies have linked heart disease to mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress. Studies suggest that there is a strong link and that anyone with depression should be screened for heart disease, while also urging heart patients to get evaluated for depression – which means vice versa.

Physical exhaustion 

Many people, especially shift workers, tend to overlook this. Causes of exhaustion can be psychological, physiological and physical. However, changing work hours is one main factor that causes exhaustion, which shouldn't be taken lightly. Researchers have shown that people who experience interrupted day-night cycles due to changing work hours have an increased risk of developing heart disease. A recent study by a team at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health also suggests that women who work on shifts may experience reduced fertility.
