Uttarakhand Election Results: As it happened

Dehradun: The BJP headed for a stunning victory on Saturday in Uttarakhand, trampling a fragmented opposition that had hoped the demonetisation exercise would have chipped away at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Saturday lost from both the Haridwar (Rural) and Kichcha seats. Over 68 percent of the electorate voted in the Uttarakhand Polls 2017.

Result Status at 4:30 pm: BJP wins 4o and leading in 17 seats. Congress' final tally 11. Independent wins 1 seat and leading in another.
