New Delhi: A dream final, a dream encounter, a sure pleasure to the eyes of all the sports fanatics. And with their third meeting this year, it's an assured triple delight to the fans of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as the two tennis greats gear up for their 36th ATP circuit clash for Miami open title.

2016 was the year when both were injury stricken, and thus robed tennis fans of a Federer-Nadal clash. So much so that Federer even came forth to call a special exhibition match between the two as he was doubtful of a another possible encounter.

But with the start of 2017, the two greats came face-to-face at Melbourne in the Australian Open final, where the Swiss maestro snatched a historic win over his old rival. They indeed seem to have come back strong this year having a rather impressive start to their season.

Having already faced each other twice this season – Indian Wells round of 16 – being the other ocassion where again the 35-year-old emergered victorious, breaking the Spaniard's vice like hold on the 18-time Grand Slam singles winner.

Nadal has 23 wins to his name in their last 36 ATP clashes against his revered rival.
