New Delhi: A lot of commotion can be witnessed in the Indian television industry at present. After the whole Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover fight fiasco, there comes yet another shocking controversy marring the telly world.
Shilpa Shinde, who previously played Angoori Bhabhi on popular sitcom 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' fame has accused the producer Sanjay Kohli of sexually harassing her. According to Pinkvilla.com, the actress, has claimed that the producer used to threaten her and even warned her that if she wouldn’t get into a physical relationship with him, he would throw her out of the show.
Adding that her make-up man witnessed all of this, following which he was fired. But the report quotes Kohli's wife Binaifer rubbishing all such claims by the actress and calling it 'false'. The report quoted her as telling a leading daily, “These are obviously false allegations. All I can say is that the matter is subjudice. I have faith in the legal system. I don’t want to give her (Shilpa) unnecessary attention.”
The makers of the show even released an official statement reading, “All we can say is that matter is subjudice, we have full faith in the judiciary. We will see her in court. We don't want to give her unnecessary importance for her obvious false allegations"
Shilpa had left the popular show midway and soon afterwards Shubhangi Atrey Poorey was roped in to play her part.
