The Union ministry of health and family welfare announced that a new COVID-19 vaccine tracker is being developed in India. The announcement was made by ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava.

Centre warns states, UTs against rising 'R' factor of COVID-19, details here
In the letter, Bhalla expressed concern over consequent increase in the 'R'-factor (reproduction number) in some of the states and UTs. R factor refers to the reproduction rate which is the number of people getting infected by one infected person.

Centre to provide 12 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses to states, UTs in July
States and union territories of India are set to receive over 12 crore COVID-19 vaccines in the month of July. The release from the health ministry also added that the states are being informed about the incoming COVID-19 vaccine doses in advance.

Efforts on to vaccinate India's adult population by December 31: Centre to SC
The Centre has asked the states and UTs have been asked to arrive at an "aggregate demand of private hospitals" to ensure equitable distribution of jabs. The country would need 186 to 188 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines to inoculate 93-94 crore people aged 18 and above, out of which 51.6 crore doses will be made available by July 31.
