Unemployment rate goes 16-month high to 8.30% in December: CMIE data

India's unemployment rate rose to 8.30% in December, the highest in 16 months, from 8.00% previous month. The date was showed by Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). The rural unemployment rate slipped to 7.44% from 7.55%.

Unemployment paints grim picture, highest in 5 years in 2015-16
