How to add or change nominee in your Mutual Fund: Here's step-by-step guide

For new folios, the regulation became effective on October 1, 2022. SEBI has made it mandatory to nominate a nominee or chose not to opt. The deadline to nominate a nominee is March 31, 2023.

Shares in demat form must for processing investors' service requests: Sebi

Also, the regulator has put in place operational guidelines for dematerialisation of securities while processing investor's service request. Sebi said that requests for effecting transfer of securities will not be processed unless the securities are held in the dematerialised form with a depository.
