Delhi riots: Delhi Police forms Special Investigating Cell to monitor probe
The SIC will be chaired by the special commissioner of police (central zone). The joint commissioner of police (eastern range), deputy commissioner of police (DCP) and additional DCP of the Northeast district are the members of the cell.

Special Cell arrests another accused in IB staffer Ankit Sharma murder case
The Special Cell of Delhi Police on March 11, 2020, arrested another accused in connection with the murder of Intelligence Bureau (IB) staffer Ankit Sharma during the northeast Delhi violence which claimed the lives of at least 52 people and left more than 200 injured last month. The arrested accused has been identified as 'Salman' alias 'Nanhe'.

Delhi violence live: Death toll rises to 27, no violence reported today
Delhi continues to remain on edge on Wednesday (February 26, 2020), four days after clashes broke out between anti-Citizenship Amendment Act supporters and protesters in the northeast district of the national capital, which has so far claimed 23 lives and left close to 150 people injured. Despite sincere appeals for peace and efforts to ease tension, mobsters roamed unchecked through the streets, burning shops, pelting stones and threatening locals in Jaffrabad, Maujpur, Chandbagh and Bhajanpura areas of northeast Delhi. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval late on Tuesday night reviewed the security arrangements and visited the areas most affected by violence in the northeast district.
