Muslims have a right to "kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past", said Malaysia`s former premier Mahathir Mohamad. However, he did not approve of the killing of a French teacher over his use of cartoons of the Prophet. Mahathir said he believed in freedom of expression but that it should not be used to insult others.

Earlier India already imposed restrictions on imports of refined palm oil and palmolein. It is to be believed that Indian retaliation came against top supplier after its criticism of India's actions in Kashmir and new citizenship law.

The government on Saturday summoned top Malaysian diplomat to register its strong objections to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's remark on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). According to the government sources, the Malaysian Charge d’Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday in order to lodge a solemn protest over the remarks made by the Malaysian PM in Kuala Lumpur during a press briefing.
