HAL's light utility helicopter completes high-altitude trials in Himalayas

HAL's indigenously developed light utility helicopter has completed hot and high-altitude trials in the Himalayas The LUH demonstrated high altitude capability in hot and high weather conditions at Daulat Beg Oldie in the Himalayas for about 10 days. The helicopter also demonstrated its payload capability in Siachen glacier high altitude.

Light Utility Helicopter, developed by HAL, clears high altitude tests

The Bengaluru-based HAL said in a statement that the trials were carried out by the test pilots from HAL, IAF and the Army from August 24 to September 2, 2019.
