Farmers’ body announces 3-day ‘rail roko’ agitation against farm bills
Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee has said that they will hold a rail roko agitation from September 24 to 26 against the three agriculture ordinances passed by the Centre. The committee had also staged a protest in Amritsar earlier this week against ordinances. BJP ally SAD, along with several opposition parties including the Congress, strongly opposed the two Bills.

PM Modi launches 'Matsya Sampada Yojana', e-Gopala App for farmers
PM Narendra Modi on Thursday launched the Matsya Sampada Yojana for sustainable development of the fisheries sector during which he said that villages should become pillars of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat'. The Prime Minister also launched the e-Gopala App for farmers along with several other initiatives in the fisheries and animal husbandry sectors in Bihar. The PM said that villages should become the pillars of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" which will enrich the villages further and strengthen them. The Prime Minister made these remarks on the occasion of the digital launch of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
