EAM S Jaishankar signs USD 50 million defence LoC agreement with Maldives
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday (February 20) handed over 1 lakh additional doses of the made-in-India COVID-19 vaccine to the Maldives. The Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Health Minister Ahmed Naseem received the coronavirus vaccine.

India to finance Maldives's biggest infrastructure project
India on Thursday announced its support for the largest infrastructure project of Maldives--the Greater Male Connectivity Project (GMCP) till date. India will provide funding of $500 million for the project which that will increase connectivity between the country. The $500 financial package consists of a grant of $100 million and a new Line of Credit (LOC) of $400 million.
