New war memorial built for 20 Indian soldiers who martyred in Galwan
The memorial has the names of 20 soldiers and the details of the June 15 operation. These bravehearts had fought off China's PLA and evicted them from an observation post near the Y-junction area under Operation Snow Leopard. The memorial has been built at the unit level near the KM-120 post on the strategic road Durbuk-Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldie, Ladakh.

New video emerges of Indian Army tanks near LAC amid border row with China
The Indian army tanks and armoured personnel carriers were spotted in forward locations at eastern Ladakh in a video released by the Centre today. The videos show rows of T-90 tanks and BMP vehicles in Chumar-Demchock. It looks that the army is now determined to strengthen security in the whole area.

MEA says 'necessary to ensure ground stability', amid Sino-India border row
The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said disengagement is a complex process which would require both countries to follow on mutually agreed actions. Srivastava said the next meeting under the framework of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on India-China border affairs is likely to take place "soon".

Rajnath Singh to address Rajya Sabha today on India, China border row
In his statement on Tuesday in Lok Sabha on the same, Singh had said India has conveyed to China that its attempt to unilaterally alter the status quo along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh was unacceptable. Rajnath Singh holds meeting to review LAC situation with NSA, CDS
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday held a high-level meeting to review the situation at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) amid heightened border tensions with China. NSA Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and the three services chiefs and top Defence Ministry officials are attending the high-level meeting at the South Block office. The meeting also coincides with India, China Brigade commanders-level interaction which is underway at the LAC in eastern Ladakh since 11 am on Friday (September 11, 2020) morning.

India, China Brigade Commander level talk on LAC border dispute underway
The interaction has been happening on a daily basis since last many days except with an interlude on Monday and Tuesday when the Chinese side allegedly indulged in provocative action around Rezang La at LAC. The aim of the talks is to "exchange views on daily activities so that there's no misunderstandings and make sure the communication lines are open".

China tried to breach Indian border using motor boats on Sept 8: Sources
Amid simmering tensions between Indian and Chinese troops at Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, Chinese troops once again tried to intrude into Indian territory on Tuesday (September 8). The Chinese troops tried to intrude into Indian territory using motor boats on the western shore of Pangang Lake but they returned after seeing the Indian troops. On Monday (September 7), a group of 25-50 Chinese soldiers had come to capture the Mukherpari hill in Chushul, but they were thwarted in their attempt by Indian solders.

What happened between Indian, Chinese troops at Pangong Lake on September 7
On Monday (September 7) too, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) tried to intrude from Southern end of the Pangong Lake in Ladakh but the Chinese troops were once again pushed back by Indian forces patrolling along the LAC. This is the third time that the PLA has been defeated by brave Indian soliders at the LAC in the last 83 days. According to sources, China wanted to repeat the Galwan incident, in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred on June 15, on Monday.
