ITR Filing 2022-23: Finance Ministry extends ITR filing deadline till Nov 7

CBDT extends ITR filing deadline to Nov 7, 2022 on Wednesday for FY 23. Earlier, the last date for filing ITR was October 31. You can check your ITR status by following these steps.

ITR filing 2021-22: File ITR today without giving any penalty under this RULE

Those filing income tax returns after July 31 have to pay a penalty. However, there is exemption of penalty in some cases under 234 FA of Income tax. A person won't be fined for filing ITR after 31 July if his total financial income isn't above 2.5 lakhs.
