IMF has reduced India's growth rate forecast for 2023-24 from 6.1% to 5.9%. A big statement of IMF has come out regarding this. IMF said that, 'Despite this, India will remain the fastest growing economy'.

IMF ups India growth forecast to 7.2% for current fiscal
Terming Indian economy a "bright spot" on the global economic landscape, IMF on Wednesday raised its growth forecast for the current fiscal to 7.2 percent, even as it called for steps to revitalise the investment cycle and accelerate structural reforms in the country.

India's growth rate to surpass China's in 2016: IMF
India is projected to grow at 6.3 percent in 2015 and 6.5 percent in 2016, when it is likely to cross China's projected growth rate of 6.3 percent, the IMF said.
