Cyclone Yaas: Naval ships, aircraft on standby for rescue and relief operation
Indian Navy said four naval ships have been kept on standby with Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Naval Air Stations have also kept their aircraft -- INS Dega at Visakhapatnam and INS Rajali near Chennai The Navy is closely monitoring the movement of the cyclonic storm which is likely to intensify during the next 24 hours over the Bay of Bengal

India-US joint tri-services exercise to begin in Visakhapatnam today
Indian Naval ships Jalashwa, Airavat and Sandhayak, Indian Army troops from 19 Madras and 7 Guards, and Indian Air Force (IAF) MI-17 helicopters and Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT) will participate in the exercise. The US would be represented by US Navy Ship Germantown with troops from the US Third Marine Division. The exercise is aimed at developing interoperability for conducting HADR operations.
