Tomato prices could soften in December with arrival of fresh crop, says Centre
Tomato rates across the country have shot up in the past few days. Prices of Tomato shot up due to unseasonal rains. The ministry added that retail prices of onions have substantially subsided below to the level that prevailed in 2020 and also 2019.

Government allows import of medical devices like oxygen canister for 3 months
The government has allowed import of medical devices like nebulizer, oxygen concentrators, oxygen cannister, oxygen cylinders, oxygen generators and ventilators. Importers have been asked to inform the quantity of imported medical devices. The move comes amid a crippling shortage of oxygen supply in the wake of rising in COVID-19 cases.

The Consumer Affairs Ministry has proposed many changes to the current law to protect consumer rights and simplify the judicial process to ensure swift and inexpensive justice. The amendment Bill will soon be taken up for Cabinet approval.
