SBI fixed deposit customers, alert! Bank has increased FD rates

SBI pointed out that the revised rates will be applicable on fixed deposits for tenures of more than 2 years. The lender noted that the revised rates are applicable on FDs worth less than Rs 2 crore. SBI will offer an interest rate of 5.20% on FDs maturing in 2-3 years.

Banks offer 50 basis points more interest rates on investments made by senior citizens. Interest earned on FD investments is subject to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). They have to submit their PAN card details before making an investment.
