India vs England 2nd Test: Root’s side make 4 changes, Anderson and Bess out
England opener Zak Crawley was ruled out for the first two Tests against India due to an injury on his right wrist. England defeated India by 227 runs in the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday. The second Test will be played in Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium before the cricketers move to Ahmedabad for the third and fourth Test.

England got their four-Test series to the best possible start with a 227-run win in the first Test against India in Chennai. James Anderson started the rot with two wickets -- Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane -- in the 27th over while left-arm spinner Jack Leach picked up four wickets in the innings to bundle out India for 192 after setting them 420 to win in the fourth innings. Indian skipper Virat Kohli was the top-scorer for the hosts with 72 while Gill chipped in with 50. Here we bring a collection of pictures which sum up the final day.

Bess backed his spin partner Jack Leach, who went for quite a few runs with Rishabh Pant going after him. Referring to the catches taken by skipper Joe Root and the others, Bess said the England fielding was 'great'. The England offie, who is playing his 13th Test and took 12 wickets in the recent tour of Sri Lanka, said he was bowling really well at the moment.

After wrapping the England tail inside the first hour of play on Day 3, none Indian batsmen apart from Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant were able to resist the English attack. R Ashwin along with Washington Sundar kept the Indian fight moving as the pair added 32 runs from 104 deliveries to help the hosts finish at 257/6, with 121 more required to save the follow-on.
