The rains that started in Northwest India including Delhi since yesterday, may have reduced the heat but there have been problems like traffic jams, waterlogging and falling of trees. After nearly 40 years in the capital Delhi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 17.2 degree Celsius in the month of May.
The national capital may receive light rainfall today and on February 24 and 25. Isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall is very likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal-Sikkim on February 24 and 25. Strong surface winds (25-35 kmph) are very likely to prevail over Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
