Coal India share price, dividend, record date, all you need to know

Coal India will get a Rs 15 dividend for each share held by them as on the record date. Coal India dividend record date is November 16 while the payment date is December 6. For the fiscal year 2021-2022, Coal India had announced a 170% equity dividend or dividend of Rs 17 per share.

Government tells utilities to expect less domestic coal in June

India has reversed a policy to cut coal imports to zero. The ministry slashed total June domestic coal supply targets to 56.2 million tonnes from 63.3 million tonnes. Miners will increase local supply to utilities which import more and help build inventories if any additional coal is available.

Coal India delays Drone deployment due to COVID-19 pandemic

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), the research and technical arm of the miner, is one of the organisations in the country to introduce drones for conducting coalfield surveys. The company has planned to deploy drones at Coal India mines for specialised survey applications such as generation of high-resolution images, 3D terrain mapping and volumetric measurement of excavation, the official said. The high-end drones will also be used to map areas and detect spots of underground mine fire which is prevalent in eastern coalfields in West Bengal and Jharkhand, he said.
