ChitFund Scam: CBI action in West Bengal, TMC leader arrested in scam

West Bengal: सीबीआई ने शुक्रवार को तृणमूल कांग्रेस के नेता और हलिसहर नगर पालिका के अध्यक्ष राजू साहनी को चिटफंड मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। सूत्रों ने बताया कि केंद्रीय जांच एजेंसी ने साहनी के आवास पर छापेमारी के दौरान 80 लाख रुपए नकद बरामद किए।

The Lok Sabha on Wednesday (November 20) passed the Chit Funds (Amendment) Bill, 2019. The Bill states that a "fraternity fund" will be considered a chit fund and makes several other changes to the principal Act.
