Vaccination to be halted in Tamil Nadu, new stock by June 6, says minister

Vaccination against COVID-19 will be halted in Tamil Nadu from Tuesday evening onwards, as the current stocks are projected to be exhausted, said Health Minister M Subramanian. He said that Tamil Nadu had so far administered over 89lakh doses, and projected that this figure would go up to 92 lakhs by end of day.

HC orders release of life convict

Making it clear that fundamental rights cannot be taken away by any enactment and one's liberty cannot be curtailed based on "viewer views," Madras High Court ordered the immediate release of one Rajendran, serving a life term.
