GST Collection For May At Rs 1.73 Lakh Crore, Up 10% YoY
or the FY 2024-25 till May, the CGST was Rs 76,255 crore; SGST was Rs 93,804 crore; IGST Rs 1,87,404 crore, and Cess was Rs 25,544 crore.

GST collections in July second highest ever, rise 28%
In June 2022, total GST collections were at Rs 1.44 lakh crore. Last month, the five-year of the GST regime was completed. GST was introduced in the country w.e.f. 1st July 2017 and States were assured compensation for loss of any revenue.

GST collection touches all-time high in April at Rs 1.68 lakh crore
The gross GST collection has crossed the Rs 1.5 lakh crore-mark for the first time in April 2022. Of the total collection, CGST was Rs 33,159 crore. Rs 36,705 crore collected on import of goods, and cess is Rs 10,649 crore.

This is the fifth month in a row that the revenues rendered was over Rs 1 lakh crore. CGST stood at Rs 23,978 crore for the month. In November, SGST was Rs 31,127 crore.

GST Fraud: Officers unearth Rs 34 crore input tax credit fraud
The seven firms were found to be generating bogus GST invoices. The firms have generated goods less GST invoices of value Rs 220 crore. The companies passed inadmissible ITC amounting to Rs 34 crores.

GST collection remains over Rs 1.17 lakh crore in September
GST revenues are 23 per cent higher than revenues in September 2020. CGST in September 2021 stood at Rs 20,578 crore. SGST was Rs 26,767 crore while the IGST was Rs 60,911 crore.

GST mop-up tops Rs 1.02 lakh crore in May, 65% higher compared to 2020
Tax collections on sale of goods and rendering of services in May at Rs 1.02 lakh crore were 27 per cent lower than April 2021. During May 2021, revenues from the import of goods were 56 percent higher, and the revenues from domestic transactions (including import of services) are 69 percent higher than that of May 2020.

GST Council leaves tax rate on COVID-19 vaccines unchanged
The GST Council, which is headed by the Union Finance Minister and comprises representatives of all states and union territories, exempted levy of I-GST on import of Amphotericin-B, which is used for the treatment of black fungus. Currently, vaccines attract 5 percent GST. The panel provided relief to small GST taxpayers through an amnesty scheme for late return filers.

GST revenue hits all-time high of Rs 1.41 lakh crore in April
The revenues for the month of April 2021 are 14 percent higher than Rs 1.23 lakh crore collected in March. During the month, the revenues from domestic transactions (including import of services) are 21 percent higher over the last month. The gross GST revenue collected in the month of April 2021 is at a record high of Rs 1,41,384 crore, of which CGST is Rs 27,837 crore, SGST Rs 35,621 crore, IGST Rs 68,481 crore.

SC to hear plea seeking GST exemption on COVID-19 related drugs
The NGO sought exemption of COVID-19 related drugs, medical equipment, other medical treatment for infection prevention, control measures and supportive care for patients from GST The rate of infection, the positivity rate, as well as the rate of hospitalization for those requiring critical treatment have all increased exponentially with double mutant virus The plea said that section 11 of the CGST Act confers the power of exemption from payment of GST on goods and services to the GST Council

One person has been held in Delhi for input tax credit fraud of Rs 50.03 crore. He has been arrested under Section 69(1) of the CGST Act, 2017. He was produced before the Duty Magistrate on Sunday who remanded him to judicial custody of 14 days.

GST revenue collection at all-time high in Jan, stands at Rs 1.19 lakh crore
Ministry of Finance on Sunday \announced that gross GST revenue collected in January 2021 hit an all-time high. It stood at Rs 1.19 lakh crore. It exceeded December 2020's record collection of Rs 1.15 lakh crore.

GST revenue collection for August stands at Rs 86,449 crore: Finance Ministry
As per reports, the government also settled Rs 18,216 crore to CGST and Rs 14,650 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. The total revenue earned by Central Government and the State Governments after regular settlement in the month of August 2020 is Rs 34,122 crore for CGST and Rs 35,714 crore for the SGST.
