DA Hike: Centre Likely to Increase Dearness Allowance by 4 % to 42 %
Central government is likely to increase dearness allowance (DA) for its over one crore employees and pensioners. The hike may be 4% to 42% from existing 38%. Last revision in DA was done on September 28, 2022, which was effective from July 1, 2022.

The government on Wednesday approved to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) benefits to central government employees and pensioners from 17 per cent to 28 per cent.
