The company said the results of the period are not comparable due to its acquisition of Reliance Cement Company which became its wholly-owned subsidiary from August 22, 2016.

Global operations accounted for more than 50 percent of the group's revenues, which rose by 8 percent in the US dollar terms as well to USD 41 billion "regardless of ups and downs in foreign currency", Birla added.
