Lightning kills six people in Bihar; Nitish Kumar announces 4 lakh ex-gratia

The Chief Minister has given instructions to grant Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia to the next of kin of the deceased Eight people in Bihar died after being struck by lightning - three each in Sheikhpura and Jamui, and one each in Siwan and Begusarai districts 26 teams of National Disaster Response Force/State Disaster Response Force have been deployed in affected areas

20 people killed in lightning strikes in 5 districts of Bihar

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief over the deaths and announced Rs 4 lakh as ex-gratia for the next of kin of each of the deceased.
