Banks to remain closed for 12 days: Check list here
Reserve Bank of India declares 14 bank holidays in July, including weekends and various festivals. Except for weekends, the schedule would differ across the country. It should be noted that many bank holidays are regional in nature and may vary from state to state and from bank to bank.

Banks will remain shut for 14 days in July. On July 1, banks are closed in Odisha. Banks across the country will remain closed on second Saturday in July.

Bank Holidays July 2021: Banks to remain closed for THESE 3 days
This month saw the maximum number of bank holidays across the country and it ranges from state-wise leaves to religious and festival holidays. The RBI has categorized these holidays under ‘Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act’, ‘Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday’, and ‘Banks’ Closing of Accounts’. In the last three holidays, two will be weekends off and one is a religious festival and the days are July 24, July 25, and July 31.

The apex bank RBI categorizes these bank holidays under three brackets – negotiable instruments act, negotiable instruments act and real-time gross settlement holiday, and banks’ closing of accounts.

Out of 15 days, 9 holidays would come under the categories of state-wise holidays, religious holidays, or festivals. The rest of the 6 days are the usual weekends off. July 21 would be celebrated as Bakri Id and that will be a common holiday for the banks across the country and almost each and every lender will remain closed.

According to RBI’s holiday calendar, certain bank holidays will be limited to local or regional branches. The month of July will see the main holiday of Eid-al-Adha or Bakrid on July 21 wherein all banks will remain closed. 9 out of 15 holidays are state-related which basically means that not all banks will remain closed for 15 days.
