Karnataka: Transport corporation employees strike enters third day

Employees of BMTC, KRSTC, NWKRTC, NEKRTC have been on strike since Thursday (December 10) The protesters have been demanding salaries equivalent to the state government employees and compensation similar to the COVID-19 warriors in the event of death due to coronavirus. KSRTC, BMTC corporations have suffered a loss of about Rs 6 crore in the last three days.

Bus strike enters third day in Karnataka; schools remain shut

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has ruled out more than 10 percent wage increase as against 30-35 percent hike demand by unions of the four corporations (KSRTC, NWRTC, NERTC and BMTC).
