SYL canal issue: Sharing scant resource will destroy our people's lives, says Amarinder Singh
Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear on November 21 the plea of Haryana alleging that Punjab was violating its earlier interim order that the status quo on land meant for SYL canal be maintained.

Protests over sacrilege incidents: Punjab DGP shunted out by Badal government
Punjab police chief Sumedh Singh Saini was today shunted out by Badal government which had drawn flak over the death of two youths in police firing during protests over sacrilege incidents, and replaced by Suresh Arora who had played a key role in fighting terrorism.
