Hong Kong media mogul Lai, pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow released on bail
Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai and pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow were released on bail on Wednesday (August 12). The duo was arrested as part of a crackdown under a new national security law implemented by China. Lai, who is the owner of Hong Kong's Apple Daily, came out of the police custody flanked by his lawyers and was greeted by hundreds of pro-democracy supporters.
