Piers Morgan vs Indian Twitter: The battle isn't over yet as UK journalist provokes fans with THIS tweet

New Delhi: UK Journalist Piers Morgan was trending on Twitter on Wednesday soon after he posted a tweet mocking India's celebration of two medals at Rio Olympics 2016.

Piers got into a battle with thousands of Indian fans after he posted a tweet which read, "Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarassing is that?"

Several Indian bigwigs, including former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, took a dig at him for his remark.

Things seemed to have settled down, but Piers, who has a reputation of having a go at all trolls, came up with this tweet.

He also thanked the Indian fans for increasing the number of his followers on Twitter by 12, 000 in just 24 hours.

It remains to be seen whether Indian bigwigs will further engage themselves in another battle with the journalist.
