New Delhi: Rio-bound Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav has been crying conspiracy since the day he was tested positive for a banned substance which dented his Rio Olympics plans.
Now, an investigation by India Today has reavealed that the wrestlers's food was spiked by an unknown person while his food was being cooked on 5th June.
The independent investigation took place at the beleaguered wrestler's hostel mess where he trained and stayed.
At the SAI hostel mess in Sonepat, Yadav's cook Vijay and junior Chandan testified to have witnessed his food being spiked by an unknown person.
Vijay revealed that the Lentils were being fried with tomato and onion slices. But there was some powdery substance resembling baking soda which wasn't added by him or any known person in the mess.
To this Chandan said, "I was frying the food and he (Vijay) was making the rotis. There was another boy (who had come in). He wanted the knife I was using. I refused. He would have done it (the adulteration) when I moved away (from the stove) to get some water."
Both also claimed that they would be able to identify the intruder should they see him again.
