New Delhi: Unbeaten Indian pro-boxer Vijender Singh would look to keep his record intact when he takes on Hungarian Alexander Horvath. The bout is an undercard fight in the WBO World Lightweight title bout featuring the champion Terry Flanagan and Derry Mathews at the Echo Arena, Liverpool.

The 30-year-old will take on the Hungarian in his first fight of the year after three knockout wins last year. The in-form middleweighthas clinched all his three wins by knockouts in only six rounds of action since his professional debut last October.

Unlike his previous opponent, Horvath comes with lot of experience and will be a tough bout for the former Olympic and World Championships bronze-medallist from Rewari.

Horvath, 20, has a decent record of winning 5 out of 7 fights and has 31 rounds under his belt to count for experience.

Interestingly, the Hungarian is following a rather unusual dietary routine, besides hours of physical and technical training.

He admitted to drinking fresh snake blood, and claimed that "blood of these sacred animals makes me powerful beyond words."

And so thus, the Indian star has increased his drills, training for 10 hours a day.

The bout was originally scheduled for last month but was delayed owing to technical issues. The fight will be precursor to Vijender's India debut in June when he will fight for the WBO Asia belt.
