New Delhi: Brazilian superstar Neymar on Friday signed a new five-year contract with Barcelona after snubbing interests from other European giants like Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain .
The new deal will keep the former Santos player at the Spanish champions until 2021. The 24-year-old has a buyout clause of £180m in the first year of his deal. But there are no reports how much Barca would be paying Neymar.
In a statement released by the club, the two parties have reached the agreement to extend the contract back in July. But the player put pen-to-paper only today.

At Barcelona, Neymar formed the dreaded trident which also includes Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. The triumvirate is often described the possibly the greatest attacking front three in the history of football.
Since arriving from Santos in 2013, he has so far scored 91 times in 150 matches in all competitions for Barcelona. His move was however mired in controversy with investigations looking into the irregularities.
