PAKISTAN INNINGS

Over 50 || Score 260/6 (Mohammad Nawaz 17; Imad Wasim 17)

Pakistan posted 260 in their fifty overs' play. The highlight of the innings was skipper Azhar Ali's 82, and Sarfraz Amhed's 58.

For England, Chris Woakes was brilliant, conceding only 43 runs and also taking a wicket.

Over 47 || Score 241/6 (Mohammad Nawaz 12; Imad Wasim 5)

Play resumed after a brief rain stoppage. And England clawed back with two quick wickets, those of Shoaib Malik and Sarfraz Ahmed.

And with wickets falling, Pakistan lost the momentum. They scored only 24 runs in the last five overs.

Over 42.1 || Score 218/4 (Sarfraz Amhed 51; Shoaib Malik 14)

Then rain came. Play stopped.

In the last five overs, Pakistan have dominated the proceedings, scoring 36 runs without losing any further wickets.

Over 36 || Score 178/4 (Sarfraz Amhed 26; Shoaib Malik 0)

Azhar Ali finally got out. 18 runs short of what would have been his third ODI century. He became Adil Rashid' s second victim,c aught at short third man by Moeen Ali in the fifth ball of 36th over.

In the last five overs, Pakistan managed to score 33 runs losing that wicket.

Shoaib Malik is the new man.

Over 30 || Score 140/3 (Azhar Ali 57; Sarfraz Amhed 18)

Pakistan further lost another wicket, in the form of Babar Azam 40 off 42 balls. He and skipper Azhar Ali have posted 61 runs. But Babar became Adil Rashid's victim.

Azhar, meanwhile, has completed his fifty.

Over 15 || Score 65/2 (Azhar Ali 28; Babar Azam 9)

In the last five overs, Pakistan have scored 20 runs losing the wicket of Mohammad Hafeez, to Joe Root. A top edge, and caught at square leg by Alex Hales.

WICKET: Mohammad Hafeez c Alex Hales b Joe Root 11 (15b )

Babar Azam joined skipper Azhar Ali in the centre.

Over 10 || Score 45/1 (Azhar Ali 18; Hafeez 10)

Two fours and a wasted review from the England camp. Mohammad Hafeez, who was quiet until now, got his first four off the second ball of the over.

Then, a huge LBW shout. Review called for, but negative.

Two balls later, Hafeez whipped the fifth ball for another four.

Over 9 || Score 37/1 (Azhar Ali 18; Hafeez 2)

Azhar Ali is keeping the Pakistan scoreboard ticking. The skipper hit his third boundary, off the fifth ball of the over, bowled by Chris Woakes.

Five runs from the over.

Over 8 || Score 33/1 (Azhar Ali 14; Hafeez 2)

Bowling change for England. Eoin Morgan introduced Liam Plunkett into the attack.

The right-arm fast bowler conceded six runs in his first over, which included a four off a drop chance.

Azhar Ali glanced and Jos Buttler failed to complete the catch, and the ball raced through. Two singles, off the first and last ball of the over to make it a six-run over.

Over 7 || Score 27/1 (Azhar Ali 9; Hafeez 1)

Azhar Ali survived a drop chance. The Pakistan captain slashed hard and Alex Hales at gully dropped the catch.

A maiden over, second for Chris Woakes. He is drying up the runs, allowing Mark Woods from the other end to attack.

Over 6 || Score 27/1 (Azhar Ali 9; Hafeez 1)

Mark Wood got the first wicket of the match, that of Sharjeel Khan. A short ball, and caught the batsman off guard, for a top edge. Easy catch for the man with gloves. Pakistan also wasted a review too.

WICKET: Sharjeel Khan c Jos Buttler b Chris Wood 16 (15b)

That happened off the first ball of the over. Mohammad Hafeez joined skipper Azhar Ali in the centre. The new man took a single off the second ball he faced.

A dot ball then, another single to end the over. Two runs and a wicket. Brilliant from Wood.

Over 5 || Score 25/0 (Azhar Ali 8; Sharjeel Khan 16)

Chris Woakes continued with his third over. And once again, Sharjeel Khan took charge with a four off the fourth ball, through mid-wicket.

The over started with a single to Khan, followed by another single from Azhar Ali.

Two dot balls later, Khan found the four – his third of the match. A dot ball, then a single to end the over. Seven runs from it.

Over 4 || Score 18/0 (Azhar Ali 7; Sharjeel Khan 10)

Tidy over from Mark Wood. Only four runs – a single, a double and a wide – from the over.

Sharjeel Khan took a single off the first ball, then two dot balls followed, before a double – flicked towards square leg.

A wide, then two legal deliveries without conceding a run, to end the over.

Over 3 || Score 14/0 (Azhar Ali 5; Sharjeel Khan 9)

Another good over for Pakistan. Skipper Azhar Ali hit his first four of the match, off the second ball of the third over, through third man. Lucky, though. Could have easily ended up offering a catch at the cordon.

Two more singles, and six runs from Chris Woakes second over.

Over 2 || Score 8/0 (Azhar Ali 0; Sharjeel Khan 8)

Pakistan reponded in style to that first over maiden. Sharjeel Khan hit Chris Wood for two fours in the second over. First one, a short delivery, was pulled effectively by Sharjeel through mid-wicket. That happened off the third ball.

It was followed by a lucky boundary off the fifth ball. Sharjeel almost played on with the ball getting a bottom edge, and went past the keeper.

Over 1 || Score 0/0 (Azhar Ali 0; Sharjeel Khan 0)

Brilliant first over from right-arm fast medium bowler Chris Woakes. A maiden over to start the match at Rose Bowl.

Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali played out all six deliveries in the over.
