India vs South Africa: Deadlock between DDCA-govt continues over 4th Test

New Delhi: The three-member panel set up by the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to probe the irregularities in Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) made the situation more tense for the association by not filing its report on Saturday.

DDCA is already running short of time to get clearances from government agencies to host the fourth Test match between India and South Africa.

According to a report in the Times of India, the DDCA officials on Saturday couldn't get an appointment either to meet the commissioner of excise and entertainment tax department to negotiate the demand of Rs 24.45 crores.

It means now DDCA officials have only one day left to inform the BCCI if they have the required clearances to host the Test match which is scheduled to be held from December 3.

According to the report, two members of the probe panel had met BCCI president Shashank Manohar on Saturday. It is also learnt that a member of the panel called up DDCA officials early in the morning asking them to send by email the detailed list of clearances needed to host the Test match.
