In Pics: Harbhajan Singh-Geeta Basra's sangeet ceremony

New Delhi: Veteran Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and Bollywood beauty Geeta Basra's wedding ceremony started off with mehandi and sangeet ceremonies.

The pre-wedding functions started in a grand manner on Monday. The starry couple are all set to tie the nuptial knot on October 29.

While the mehandi was held on Monday, the sangeet ceremony took place on Tuesday with relatives and close friends being present during the auspicious occasion.

The turbanator took to social micro-blogging site Twitter to reveal his enjoyment in the sangeet ceremony with friends and family members.

Harbhajan also thanked Punjabi and Bollywood singers Gurdaas Mann and Mika Singh for making the ceremony special.

The BCCI tweeted a photo of Harbhajan and Geeta sitting on a cycle rickshaw which was decorated fully with flowers.

Here are glimpses of the sangeet ceremony.

The wedding rituals are being performed at a hotel in Phagwara, 20 kilometers from Harbhajan's hometown, Jalandhar in Punjab.

The five-day gala affair is all set to end in Delhi on November 1, with many Bollywood celebrities and Indian cricketers expected to attend the reception ceremony.
