Rohit Sharma As Opener, Hardik Pandya In Finisher's Role: Mumbai Indians' Predicted Playing XI For IPL 2025

Rohit Sharma is all set to open the innings for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season. The 37-year-old is no longer the captain of the franchise but he is still a key player for the five-time champions.  

England batter Will Jacks is likely to open the innings for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season, alongside Will Jacks. It will be a new opening pair for MI. 

 

Naman Dhir, who is a batting allrounder from Punjab, is likely to bat at No. 3 spot for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season. He had played a few crucial knocks last season in absence of Suryakumar Yadav.  

India's T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav is likely to bat at No. 4 spot for MI in the IPL 2025 season. Suryakumar has been the biggest match winner for Mumbai Indians in the last few seasons. 

Tilak Varma, who batted at various positions in the past, is likely to bat at No. 5 for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season. His runs can decide the fate of MI in the upcoming season. 

 

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya failed to perform for Mumbai Indians in all three departments - batting, bowling and captaincy - last season. However, skipper Pandya will look to turn things around in the IPL 2025 season especially as a finisher at No. 6 spot. He will give that perfect balance to MI with both bat and ball along with his captaincy. 

 

Robin Minz, an exciting batting wicket-keeper from Jharkhand, is likely to bat at No. 7 and play the finisher's role for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season. 

 

India pacer Deepak Chahar will play a key role for Mumbai Indians with the ball in the IPL 2025 season. His performance in the powerplay with the new ball can decide the fate of MI in the bowling department in the upcoming edition of IPL.   

Mumbai Indians have lacked a quality spinner in their side in the last few seasons and Mitchell Santner will fill that spot perfectly for them in the upcoming IPL 2025 season.   

During the mega auction, Mumbai Indians also all roped in Afghanistan spinner Allah Ghazanfar in their squad and he will be key for the team with the ball during middle overs. 

Mumbai Indians' success will be very much dependent on the performance of Jasprit Bumrah, who recently had a phenomenal tour of Australia. MI would want Bumrah to remain injury free throughout the season.  

Mumbai Indians are likely to use Trent Boult, Karn Sharma as their Impact Player in the upcoming IPL 2025 season.
