Kerala State Film Awards 2018: Parvathy, Indrans and Lijo Jose bag top honours

New Delhi: Actress Parvathy, who played the lead role in the critically acclaimed film 'Take Off', won the Best Actress (Female) award and in the male category, actor Indrans bagged the top honour for his role in Aalorukkam in Kerala State Film Awards, which was held on Thursday.
Earlier, Parvathy had won the award in 2015 for her performance in the movie 'Charlie'. Noted filmmaker Lijo Jose Pallisery walked away with the award for Best Director for his film 'E Ma You'.The film was shot in just 18 days and has been screened at various film festivals.
In the best film category, 'Ottamuri Velicham' directed by Raul Riji Nair bagged the honour. The film stars Vinitha Koshy, Dipak Parambol and Devaki Rajendran in lead roles.
'Take Off', for which Parvathy won the Best Actress award, is based on the real-life story of 19 stranded Kerala nurses trapped in Tikrit and under the custody of the ISIS, won Mahesh Narayanan the award for the best debut director.

Best Art director- Santhosh Raman for 'Take Off'.
