Tata Altroz iCNG First Drive Review: Design, Features, Specs, Boot Space - IN PICS
Tata Motors has taken the responsibility to kill the 'No Boot Space' issue, associated with CNG hatchbacks with the launch of the Altroz iCNG, and here's what we feel about it.
Tata Altroz iCNG
With the scintillating design retained, the Altroz iCNG is priced from Rs 7.55 lakh, ex-showroom. Moreover, it is available in a multitude of trims, from XE to ZX+ (O).
Tata Altroz iCNG Specs
Powered by a 1.2L 3-pot petrol, the Altroz iCNG puts down 88 PS against 115 Nm in the petrol mode and 73.5 PS against 103 Nm in the CNG mode.
Tata Altroz iCNG Performance
The Altroz iCNG performs well in the city and on the highway. While the performance isn't fierce, it is certainly adequate in the CNG mode. Also, the ride and handling behaviour is matured.
Tata Altroz iCNG Spare Wheel
The spare wheel has now moved underneath the car, thereby clearing space for CNG tanks.
Tata Altroz iCNG CNG Tank
The Altroz iCNG gets two 30L CNG tank, which sit in the cavity that otherwise housed the spare wheel.
Tata Altroz iCNG Sunroof
The Altroz iCNG is available with an electric sunroof, which can be controlled via voice commands.
Tata Altroz iCNG Dashboard
The cabin remains unchanged for the larger part, but the centre console now misses out on the Eco mode button, which sat next to the gear lever.
Tata Altroz iCNG Instrument Cluster
The Altroz iCNG gets an all-digital instrument cluster from the Tiago iCNG. We believe the part-digital, part-analogue cluster available in petrol/diesel trims of the Altroz feels more premium.
