Indian Air Force inducts 'Made-in-India' Light Combat Helicopter LCH for high-altitude warfare: IN PICS

The Indian Air Force has inducted Made-In-India Light Combat Helicopter made by HAL into the IAF fleet and the LCH has been developed primarily for mountain warfare after a requirement for it was felt during the Kargil war in 1999.

The helicopter comes armed with a cannon mounted below its nose, with a capability to fire thousand 20-millimetre bullets each minute. It carries 70-millimetre rockets on pods on either side and can also be armed with an air-to-air missile and an anti-armour missile.
