2023 Toyota Innova Hycross officially revealed in India with new design, interior, hybrid powertrain: IN PICS

The new Innova Hycross is 4,755 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, and 1,795 mm tall. It is aesthetically appealing with an SUV-inspired design. The cab-forward design is gone now, and an SUV-like stance now comes in. Use of straight lines, flat roof profile, large alloy wheels, and black cladding make it look quite like some Toyota SUVs.

Around the rear, the third-gen Toyota Innova Hycross gets a major design overhaul. The tail looks tight with the use of slim led tail lamps, a rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. Also, the MPV gets a large boot space of over 900 litres with third-row folded flat.

 

The road presence of the Toyota Innova Hycross would not be a complaint from anyone, no matter what. With a rather upright nose and a high-set bonnet, it has SUV essence in the front end. Under the hood, buyers can have either a strong-hybrid powertrain or a NA petrol engine. The former delivers a mileage of 21.2 kmpl.

Like the exterior, the interior is modernised to make the Innova Hycross a big departure from the Innova Crysta. With a dual-tone interior, the cabin feels opulent. Moreover, a free-standing infotainment unit is used here with a 9-speaker JBL sound system.

For the first time ever, the Innova nameplate gets a sunroof. In fact, this is a panoramic sunroof, which does let in a lot of light enter the cabin, but it further gets ambient lighting around it. Toyota has retained roof-mounted vents on the Innova Hycross.

The Innova Hycross gets three rows of seats, and the middle row comes with optional ottoman seats. Basically, the MPV gets captain chairs with individual armrests and a centre console. The wheelbase at 2,850 mm is the longest in the segment, while rear-window sunblinds are first-in-segment affair.

Toyota is ensuring that the third-gen Innova comes with enough to keep the occupants safe. It gets six airbags, pre-collision warning, blindspot monitoring system, and auto hight beam. The Innova Hycross is equipped with electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
