PM Netanyahu studied and earned an MBA degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1976. Netanyahu also served as Israeli ambassador in several countries before being elected to the Knesset (Israeli parliament) as a Likud member in 1988.

One of the local media reported that for years now, the state has paid for PM Netanyahu's living expenses at his Caesarea home, even though he has lived in the prime minister's official residence in Jerusalem since 2009, adding that even that resident was funded by the state. The report also added that as per the data released between 2009 and 2015, the state has spent millions catering to the whims of the Netanyahu family.

Back in 1993, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confessed that he have had an affair. The whole scandal was known as the “Hot Tape Affair” and PM Netanyahu not only confronted every point on the main television news program of that time but also apologised to his wife, Sara Netanyahu.

The developments came after the Israeli PM revealed that he was being blackmailed by an anonymous group. PM Netanyahu had said “one man, surrounded by a not-small group of criminals,” was blackmailing him to drop out of the race with a sex tape of him and someone who is not his wife.
