As Lok Sabha Elections are going across the nation, 9 states are participating in Phase-4 on May 13 and West Bengal is one of them. The state is prepared to contest polls for the 8 seats named Baharampur, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat, Bardhaman Purba, Bardhaman - Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur, Birbhum on May 13. Bengal is going to polls for some of the prominent faces in Phase 4.
Shatrughan Sinha
Shatrughan Sinha is a veteran actor and prominent candidate of TMC going to contest against the BJP candidate S.S. Ahluwalia from Asansol Constituency. Sinha was earlier a member of the Congress and before that contested the election and secured a victory in 2009 on a BJP ticket from Patna Sahib.

Amrita Roy is contesting from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal on a BJP ticket against TMC leader Mahua Moitra. Roy is a descendant of the esteemed Nadia Royal family and carries deep roots in the culture and history of Bengal.
